Today I took Maggie out on a trail with a girl and her 3 year old who had never been on the trails before. Today I realized why I love my mare so much.
She hates staying in a frame, she liked to run and be fast, and she will fight you tooth and nail if you ask her to do something she doesn’t want to. But I would never want a different horse.

So Maggie is getting hella stiff in her body and doesn’t want to bend herself or give me full body control when we ride. I think a lot of her issues have to do with the fact that she weaves all the time. I’ve tried fixing this, but nothing is working. I’ve given her hay bags so she’s munching on something, but she ends up ripping those apart. I give her balls and toys that...

I’m back in the swing of things. Riding Maggie a lot and she’s doing well, still bitchy about some things, and doesn’t want to give her right shoulder and move off of it, but other than that things are going well with her.
